Occitanie en scène Languedoc-Roussillon (Montpellier / Occitania) – Leading Partner

Occitanie en scène is a regional agency for the performing arts in Occitania. Its aim is to contribute to the artistic and cultural development of the territory with the objective of turning it into a dynamic region for creative artists that living there and a territory rapidly developing new artistic styles; the proposal being the cultural planning of the region whilst reducing the inequalities in the access to artistic creation.

Occitanie en scène conducts in this manner its missions of communication and resources, its guidance and accompaniment in artistic reconnoitring, artistic and professional mobility and the development of projects in cooperation with international projects.

Its scope of intervention covers the entire field of the performing arts: circus, dance, music, theatre and its associated or hybrid forms, for the stage,the public space or the ring.

The City of Bilbao (Bilbao /Basque Country)

The cultural service organises BAD, a major annual festival of theatre and contemporary dance in the Basque country, presenting national and international artists. BAD also works towards the internationalisation of local productions and undertakes training events within the framework of the festival. Collectively the City of Bilbao is a partner in other European projects in order to encourage creations and performances within the sectors of Street Arts and contemporary Circus.

CIRCa, Auch Gers Occitanie (Auch / Occitania)

CIRCa, national circus centre, in Auch Gers Occitania accompanies international artists (residencies, co-productions, delegated productions, marketing). With strong connections with programmers, advisors, international professionals (20 countries present at the festival), allow the internationalisation of the supported creations. CIRCa is an active member of the Circostrada network and been a partner in projects supported by the Culture Program of the EU :

  • [Circus] work ahead! (2013-2015) for young artists looking at establishing a European career.
  • Unpack the Arts (2012-2014) to develop a critical dialogue of Circus in the Media.

La Escuela Navarra de Teatro (Pamplona / Navarra)

With 30 years experience in programming performance and artistic training with over 4000 performances. The theatre has a capacity for 300 spectators. Three classrooms for training. The ENT was part of IETM (international contemporary performing arts network) and collaborates with CELCIT in regards to programming important Latin-American productions as well as master classes with the artists involved.

L’Estive, national theatre of Foix and the Ariège (Foix / Occitania)

As both a theatre and cinema (Art et Essai label), l’Estive produces the works of contemporary authors from all disciplines, especially in multidisciplinary and arts involving movement. The project takes place in Foix, in the territory of the Ariège (30% of the production, cultural actions and residencies take place in the valleys of the department) and in part in the neighbouring Aude department within the framework of the Pierres de Gué season, initiated by l’Estive in partnership with the structures of the Aude and the Ariège. The project of l’Estive includes an important component of programming and actions aimed for young audiences. It relies on the mentoring of artists in residence, that permits weaving strong links of proximity with the partners and inhabitants.

Le Parvis, national theatre of Tarbes Pyrenees (Tarbes / Occitania)

As a National theatre, Le Parvis is an institution that promotes contemporary creations in the field of performing and visual arts, as well as cinema. Situated on the borders of 2 regions Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Le Parvis welcomes over 200 000 spectators every year, of which 40 000 are young people. An important factor in the attractiveness of the territory through it’s programming, taking possession of new creations and the current affairs of major artists on the international stage, Le Parvis contributes to favouring artistic exchanges with the principal regional or national actors. The Pyrenart project will from now on allow it to extend its collaboration with their Spanish neighbours and increase its policy of programming and co-production based on the conviction that the arts play an essential rôle to advance communication between people, and the reflection that arises when confronted by the works and artistic practices.

OARA, Artistic Office of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region (Bordeaux / New-Aquitaine)

The OARA is a regional cultural agency for the performing arts. It facilitates the measures for creation and production within the framework of collaborative projects, and organises professional seminars to reinforce the capacity for the actors to work collectively. The OARA maintains regular collaborations with Quebec (Canada) and invests in cross border exchange programs within the Aquitaine-Euskadi Euro-region.

OARA is a competent player in the fields of production and cross border networks.

Bitò Produccions S.L. (Salt / Catalunya)

Bitò Produccions is dedicated to the production of performing arts and festivals. The Temporada Alta festival has international status, and has had over 25 editions. Recently the festival has produced over 20 international performances, some of which are co-productions. In the framework of Temporada Alta, Bitò has participated in the « The Littell Project » funded by Creative Europe and the INTERREG Catalan Cross Border Stage project through the bias of the Salt municipality. Temporada Alta co-produces and regularly presents international performances.

Patronato Municipal de las Artes Escénicas y de la Imagen de Zaragoza (Saragossa / Aragon)

Office of stage and cinema. The PMAEI is dedicated on one hand to the production of performing arts through its two theatres (900 and 200 seats) and Cinema with Filmoteca, and on the on the other hand in training professionals for the stage with the Dance Centre as well as its citizens through community projects in different neighbourhoods of Saragossa. The PMAEI is supported by the Department of Cultural Co-operation Zaragoza Cultural (Municipality of Saragossa), that was the leading partner in 2 projects of Programme Culture, part of the Eurocities project that maintains bilateral accords with European and Latin American cities.
